An independent publisher of print magazines on psychology, cinema and culture wanted readers to find, buy and read its issues online. User Actually scoped and launched a digital magazine on WordPress with Calaméo, then trained the client's team to run it themselves.

01 · Strategy, UX & user flows
We started with the reader. We mapped how someone discovers an issue, previews it, subscribes or buys, reads online, and is brought back for the next issue through the newsletter.
That flow set the scope for everything we built.
Each step was designed so a print reader could move online without friction, and so the newsletter could bring them back for the next issue.
02 · MVP scoping & implementation
Rather than build a custom reader, we scoped an MVP on WordPress with Calaméo's online reader embedded, so issues could go live quickly and read well on any device.
We then managed the implementation from scope to launch.

03 · Internal training
We trained the client's team to publish and manage issues themselves, from uploading a new issue to organising the library.
The result is a library of 28 publications the team now runs in-house.

04 · Maintenance & roadmap
After launch we kept maintaining and upgrading the digital magazine, and set out the next steps for the product.
